Super excited to have partnered with Mi Rancho Hispanic Heritage month. I loved working on the graphics & illustration for their limited edition tote bag. It was inspired by the tile work, my mom’s tortilla warmer and the colors of mi ranchito.

I had the pleasure of working on these ingredient illustrations for Avon USA packaging. It was super nostalgic because my mom used to buy and at some point sell Avon products as her side hustle. I think my mom finally understood what I do for a living and it was amazing to watch her face light up.

I recently had the pleasure of illustrating the cover for Seattle Met Magazine’s Currents section. The July/August 2020 issue is out and you can read more about how the pandemic broadened Seattle’s social divide. Particularly disheartening to read how much this continues to hit our most vulnerable communities (aka BIPOC essential workers). Please wear your mask when you leave your house.

I had the pleasure of joining a collective of artists visualizing their interpretation of home. Here’s my take—Zinciro, Michoacán Mexico. It’s the rancho where my parents grew up & a place that is home to me as well. I decided to illustrate a view that I remember quite often, it’s Mama Ines’ garden. I spent many days with her in her garden. It’s where my love for plants and color comes from. The prints can be purchased here.
The benefits go to Acres of Love, a non-profit providing forever home to orphans in South Africa. In addition I’ll be donating my profits to a charity benefiting the Mexican community.
